Roger Thomas' 26 years in the insurance industry
began after earning a BBA in Management from the University of Texas/Pan
American and an MBA from Southern Methodist University with a concentration
in Finance and Investments.
First pursuing the life insurance business in
Dallas, Roger transitioned into property and casualty in 1980 with
the acquisition of an agency in Livingston, Texas, adding another
agency a few years later. The agency went on to earn many
company awards and honors over the years until it was divested in
1996.
Roger has been a full-time consultant since
1988 as a principal of Thomas & Thomas Agency Consultants and
Appraisers, Inc. Thomas & Thomas provides diverse services
to insurance agents and companies, as well as to others involved
in the field of insurance.
In the legal arena, Thomas serves as Arbitrator
for agents in disputes with solicitors, partners and others, and
he often is hired by attorneys to assist in Case Evaluation, Strategy
Development, Research and Damage Assessment. Thomas also serves
as an Expert on behalf of agents and insurance companies in litigation

for agents, and Thomas' experience in developing a national niche
market program can be beneficial to agents wishing to do the same.
On a local level, Thomas can work with the agent to establish joint
ventures with banks and other partners.
Besides speaking engagements, Thomas writes
articles for various insurance and non-insurance publications and
is a Consultant associated with George Nordhaus' Insurance Marketing
and Management Service (IMMS).
Thomas earned the Certified Insurance Counselor
(CIC) professional designation in 1994 and served as the National
President of the American Association of Insurance Management Consultants
(AAIMCO) from 1996 through 1998.
